poem: save ur tears

set the scene: girl, realizing
quickly inside the lights that the boy
will not tell
her everything. how can i say —
without mocking — that you
that you exist within small
snake lines; train station
in august also
september; the lines look
different inside rain lights
station lights, people with
ezra pound faces, petals and bulbous
eyes. the girl realizing
the boy is leaving, he is retreating
like waterloo, like trafalgar
and nelson’s fucking rad
navy. he has japan in his mouth
and his face; i touch his
icon, he melts.

set the scene: will you contact me
after i leave?

seen.
